Libby graduated from the University of Tasmania with a Master of Architecture degree in 2015. Prior to returning to her home state to join the 1+2 team in 2021, she spent 5 years working in Naarm (Melbourne) primarily focussed on bespoke residential architecture. This industry experience afforded Libby the opportunity to strengthen her keen attention to detail, graphic communication skills and ability to elicit creative and effective solutions to complex design challenges.

Libby is an enthusiastic young architect who relishes the opportunity to approach projects with incisive critique and understanding. She brings a high level of attentiveness and an approachable manner that ensures clear communication across multiple facets of practice.

Libby’s ideals toward architecture and design are not dissimilar to that which she values most about the Tasmanian landscape – quality over quantity, and simplicity over excessiveness. She believes that successful architecture should be informed by the unique contextual fabric and user requirements to formulate a clear and meaningful idea and ensure a successful outcome is achieved.
